Introduction to Patterns
Stock Patterns are useful for regular patterns eg Hanging Man, or global criteria such as Close > 10 and Volume > 1000000.
Once you have saved a block of criteria you can then reference that saved Pattern in a Stock Screen or a Backtest.
Click 'Create New Pattern' to build a new screen from scratch. Or see the Stock Pattern Library page for some live examples which you can copy.
To access any of your saved Patterns just click on the Pattern Name below.
See the User Guide on the Stock Pattern details page for more information on building stock patterns. And please feel free to Contact Us should you require any assistance.
Rename a Pattern
To rename one or more of your existing Patterns, first click 'Edit Grid Data' to put the Grid in edit mode. Then change the name and click 'Save Changes'.
Share a Pattern
By default, your Patterns are only visible to you when you are logged in.
However, the 'Can be Shared?' setting can be used to make a Pattern public. If this option is set, you can give others the browser address to the Pattern and they will be able to view it read-only.
Click 'Edit Grid Data' to put the Grid in edit mode to change the setting.
